Face-to-face interactions were highlighted as top of the agenda at 100% Optical (23-25 April) by show director Nathan Garnett during a breakfast briefing at the AOP Lounge.
‘In the deepest, darkest days of the pandemic, when everyone was wondering if we would ever do this again, I always thought this was going to be a great comeback event to highlight and appreciate the importance of seeing each other face-toface,’ Garnett said.
He added: ‘Brands are investing in the UK market and the stands look amazing and that is testament to the fact that they value UK opticians and see the industry in good health. We’re positive about the future. While there’s lots of trouble in the world at the moment, which we’re all aware of, the feeling we get here is that opticians have an important role and there’s optimism about their future. That’s what this week is going to be about for us.’
