The frames, designed and distributed by Brulimar Optical Group in the UK, were unveiled at the Association of British Dispensing Opticians conference at Harrogate at the beginning of the month. Sales director Alexander Harris said orders since the exhibition had been superb and the first frames would be on the high street from early November. The metal frame shapes include an oval and modified square, and they come in metallic brown, demi-amber and blue/grey metallic colours. Each frame comes with a case and the range is supported by a selection of point-of-sale materials. Brulimar managing director Howard Librae said prices for the frames had deliberately been kept low so make them affordable. He pointed out that attention to detail went from choice of raw materials and quality of manufacture, through to the correctness of optical fit. 'Fisher-Price's underlying objective was to make sure that parents together with their children could enjoy the benefits of these top-quality frames,' he explained.
