Flexon by Marchon sponsors race yacht

The boat, a type 1720, named in memory of the date of opening of the Royal Cork Yacht Club, was launched by Marchon managing director Andy Skitmore. It already carries the Flexon name and sails promoting the sunglasses are being designed. Captain Paul Gill of Paul Gill Opticians, in Dublin, and his crew have been kitted out with Flexon sunglasses, caps and jackets. The yacht, based in Ireland, has just taken part in its first race, the Ford Week in Cork, which was ending as optician went to press. It will be racing in various other events through the summer, leading to the national championships at the end of August.
