With only two months to go before Optrafair London, Federation of Manufacturing Opticians chairman Barry Dibble has described Optrafair as the heart and soul of optics.
‘Optrafair unites suppliers and provides the lifeblood for the profession,’ said Dibble. ‘Through our longstanding, respected show, unity has been created – something that we, as optical suppliers to every aspect of the profession, have fought to engender. Through the myriad of exhibitors and the supporting CET lectures, we continue to bring a tantalising showcase of all that is new in world optics.
‘The latest advances in fashion, lenses, diagnostic technology, lab equipment, accessories, contact lenses, IT, practice management advice and leadership are combined in the flagship show with a rich heritage for every aspect of our profession. The profits from Optrafair return to UK optics – in setting new standards of excellence, collaborating with the international optical markets and encouraging new suppliers to bring the best to every high street practice – this is the work of the FMO.
