Optical body FODO said it stood on the shoulder of giants as its membership continued to grow after 30 years in operation – but issued a warning to NHS England to ‘link us all up’.
The organisation’s 2015 AGM was held this week at 199 Gloucester Terrace, where chair Lynda Oliver gave a rousing address and welcomed new members.
Life membership was granted to FODO founder member Mike Barton and son Peter, and Graham Ackers was recognised for his long service. Giles Smith, of Haine and Smith Opticians, was elected to the board as a new SME director and William Stockdale as chair of FODO Northern Ireland.
