The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers has confirmed it will be holding a short ‘ask the expert’ session at the forthcoming Optrafair exhibition to further discuss the Foresight Project.
Julia Manning, founder and chief executive of think tank 2020 Health, will host the session primarily focusing on the consequences for the practise of optics arising from the technological developments discussed in the Foresight Report.
Results from the Foresight Project, commissioned last year by the members of the Optical Confederation and the College of Optometrists with funding from the Central (LOC) Fund, were reported in this week’s Optician.
The Optrafair session will run in the GOC/OCCS workshop area, in the outer Atrium, from 2-2.20pm on Saturday 9 April. To ensure a place email Helen Perkins (clerk@spectaclemakers.com).
