Organisers of last week's EFCLIN conference claimed it was one of the largest-ever gatherings of the contact lens industry in Europe.
Held in Vienna from October 8-10, the congress and exhibition boasted 227 delegates from 31 countries.
In all, 115 firms were represented, and there was a varied lecture programme themed 'Our business in 2010' with a global line-up of speakers.
From the UK, Caroline Christie shared her views on frequent replacement systems for RGPs and David Walker reported on an EFCLIN working group on wavefront technology.
The 34th EFCLIN conference next year will be held in Venice from October 5-7.
EFCLIN 2005 will be featured in a November edition of OPTICIAN.
