Fundraiser Debbie White (pictured) has urged cyclists to take part in an event next month to raise funds for vision charity Fight for Sight.
On Sunday September 14, Bike for Sight will be in Warwickshire for the first time with 16k and 50k routes, starting at Kenilworth Sixth Form College, from 9am.
Irish paracyclist Damien Vereker has agreed to lead the Fight for Sight cyclists and will be joined by five-year-old Matilda Henley, who has been diagnosed with a corneal dystrophy and will officially start the event.
White, who has lived with Usher Syndrome for the past 40 years, said: ‘Sight is the most precious of senses. Each day 100 people lose their sight. Fight for Sight is determined to put a stop to this. The money raised will help to make this possible. I wanted to do something different to mark this special milestone, so I’m delighted to organise the first Bike for Sight Warwickshire event. Please sign up today.’
