Former snooker player and commentator Willie Thorne has taken part in a golf day to raise funds for Fight for Sight

The annual event, organised by fundraiser Debbie White (also pictured) for the past 20 years, was held at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club earlier this month, raising £18,000 for the vision charity.

White, who has Usher Syndrome with cataracts forming and astigmatism of the eye, said: ‘It has been a delight fundraising and supporting Fight for Sight for the past two decades. They fund world-class research and it’s essential to support this to ensure that treatments and cures are found for the millions of people affected by sight loss.’
