Dispensing optician Garry Kousoulou won 357 votes in this week’s local elections

Dispensing optician Garry Kousoulou won 357 votes in this week’s local election for the Southbury ward of Enfield, London.

Standing as an independent candidate, Kousoulou finished eighth in his first ever attempt, winning 3 per cent of votes.

Kousoulou, also owner of the Good Looking Optics practice in Enfield, Tweeted from the polling station to say the rain had not stopped people voting, describing it as a ‘rewarding, fun and a really new experience’.
