Vision 2020 UK, the charity which brings together agencies across the eye health and sight loss sectors, has announced that the General Optical Council has joined the organisation.
The charity said the addition of the GOC marked an exciting step forward, with the health regulator building on the organisation’s existing membership of charities, professional bodies and voluntary organisations.
Vision 2020 UK CEO Mercy Jeyasingham said: ‘The membership of the GOC is a vote of confidence in the value provided by Vision 2020 UK to our members’
GOC director of strategy Alistair Bridge added: ‘Our membership of Vision 2020 UK will allow us to work collaboratively with other members, and with Vision 2020 UK itself, to engage even more effectively with patients and the public.’
