Glasses Direct has launched its first ever TV advertising campaign.

GDGlasses Direct has launched its first ever TV advertising campaign this week across a number of channels. The adverts are timed to coincide with Glasses Direct's customer service helpline so that new customers can access its team of opticians, according to the company. Glasses Direct founder and executive chairman Jamie Murray Wells said: 'It's the right time now for the company to be looking at television to alert new customers to the benefits of buying glasses online.' The company's head of marketing, Chris Simpson, added: 'As the leading online retailer of prescription glasses, we're effectively driving the entire category and TV is a powerful way to do this.'
