Prescription Eyewear, the holding company behind online eyewear retailer Glasses Direct, has completed a corporate rebrand and confirmed rumours it is considering a flotation (News 05.07.13).

Investment firm GP Bullhound has been retained to advise the group’s board on strategic financing options, including a potential listing in the future.

The company, founded by Jamie Murray Wells in 2005, announced it had rebranded to ‘MyOptique Group’ last week, reflecting business changes and forthcoming international expansion plans.

MyOptique Group includes each of the group’s e-commerce units, including luxury eyewear seller MyOptique, Glasses Direct, Sunglasses Shop and Nordic online contact lens retailer LensOn. Each of the websites would continue with their current propositions.
