Glaucoma UK chair raised awareness around glaucoma during a 100% Optical talk

The need for raised awareness around glaucoma and better support for patients was highlighted during a session on avoidable sight loss at 100% Optical on Sunday February 27.

‘We want to present to those who will listen, the patients’ perspective about what they would like us as a society to do to support and help them with their glaucoma and to the development of efficient and cost-effective glaucoma care pathways, both for the diagnosis and monitoring of the disease in primary and secondary care,’ said Professor Anthony King, chair of Glaucoma UK.

Also participating in the session, Paul Morris, director of professional advancement at Specsavers, and Giles Edmond, clinical services director at Specsavers, offered support for Prof King’s message.
