Glaucoma research grant launches

Glaucoma UK and the RCOph joined to provide a postgraduate research award

Glaucoma UK and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOph) have partnered to launch a postgraduate research award up to the value of £100,000.

Joanne Creighton, Glaucoma UK’s chief executive, said: ‘These grants are critical as they provide funding that enables researchers to discover new ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating glaucoma. It is an honour to be able to provide this award and fund research that could improve the lives of people living with glaucoma.’

The charity and RCOph encouraged research entries that were patient orientated and directly concerned with the improvement of the management of glaucoma.
