Glaucoma UK has launched its reshaped research programme for 2025 to support innovative research to improve the understanding, treatment and care of glaucoma.
This was the charity’s largest ever funding round, with a total of £370,000 to be awarded.
The programme invited applications from across all aspects of glaucoma care, such as improved diagnosis, monitoring, treatment or management of glaucoma.
Joanna Hodgkinson, head of research at Glaucoma UK, shared: ‘We’re delighted to be introducing our new research grants in 2025. By revamping our project grant funding we’re confident we’re going to be supporting the best quality research.’
She added that the new grant rounds gave greater prominence to the voice of people with glaucoma throughout the research process.
