Global myopia survey launched

Industry bodies called on ECPs to give evidence of how myopia is addressed

Eye care professionals (ECPs) have been asked to complete a survey about myopia management by the World Council of Optometry and the International Myopia Institute (IMI).

The industry bodies wanted to gather evidence of how myopia was being addressed globally and assess how it varies geographically and among ECPs.

Professor Serge Resnikoff, chair at the IMI, said: ‘Receiving feedback directly from ECPs would help IMI to identify areas that need further knowledge dissemination and understand factors that could hinder practitioners from adopting best practices.’

The survey will close in October, 2022 and results are expected to be published in early 2023.
