The GOC has announced the result of its elections of optometrists and dispensing opticians in England, Scotland and Wales.

The GOC has announced the result of its elections of optometrists and dispensing opticians in England, Scotland and Wales.

Turnout was 20 per cent and a total of 3,322 votes were cast out of 16,247 voting papers issued.

DOs James Russell, Keith Cavaye, Rosemary Bailey, Jennifer Brower and Kim Devlin were elected.

In England, optometrists David Cartwright, Nicholas Rumney and Charles Wass were elected, with Donald Cameron in Scotland and Gwyneth Morgan in Wales. Roger Anderson was returned unopposed to represent optometrists in Northern Ireland.
