GOC hearings begin in Farringdon

General Optical Council fitness to practise hearings will begin this week at the regulator’s new Farringdon offices

General Optical Council  fitness to practise hearings will begin this week at the regulator’s new Farringdon offices.

A private interim order review takes place today (October 9), with the first public hearing starting on October 12.

The council said having all of its activities taking place under one roof would be a significant benefit in ensuring it worked efficiently as an organisation.

The transfer of staff to the new offices has been delayed by work to install internet and telephone lines. It had been hoped that the move would be completed by the end of the summer, but the council expected staff would move into the new office during November, which is in line with its contingency plans.
