
A memorandum of understanding has been signed by the GOC alongside other regulatory, investigatory and prosecutorial bodies, following Professor Norman Williams’ review into gross negligence manslaughter in healthcare settings.
The memorandum of understanding only applies in England and sets out how healthcare organisations and bodies will work together in cases where there is suspected criminal activity by a person in relation to the provision of clinical care.
