Good turnout for Slatter day

Edmonds & Slatter Opticians celebrated its 25th anniversary with an evening event of champagne and canapes at its Blaby, Leicestershire practice.

Colleagues, staff members past and present, local businesses and patients were invited to view the refurbished practice. Guests looked at the new technology including a computerised measuring system, for bespoke Varilux lenses. There was a 'behind the scenes' tour of the glazing laboratory, which has also recently been refitted.

Partner Tim Cole said: 'We tried to contact as many patients as we could who had been with us since our very first year, but couldn't find everybody as it was so long ago and long before computers were commonly used.'
