Leicester Riders players visit Edmonds and Slatter

Two players from Leicester Riders basketball team netted a visit to Edmonds and Slatter Opticians in Blaby, Leicestershire last month.

Rashad Hassan (pictured left) and Neil Watson (right) marked National Eye Health Week by visiting the practice, which is the official eye care provider to The Leicester Riders for a second season.

‘It’s often taken for granted but your vision plays a huge part in any sport. It’s especially important to elite athletes where clarity of vision can make the difference when you are making fraction of a second decisions. Timing, aiming, balance and consistency are all affected by vision. A basketball player who can focus quicker, or have better depth perception and peripheral awareness will have an edge over his opponents,’ said Edmonds and Slatter Opticians senior optometrist Saagar Hirani.
