A Californian woman thought to be the first person to face charges relating to driving while using the Google Glass augmented reality device has had her case dismissed.
Cecilia Abadie, pictured outside court in San Diego and one of a select few testing Google glasses, admitted she was wearing the device when she was stopped for speeding last year, but said it was not turned on.
Court commissioner John Blair dismissed the case on grounds of lack of evidence from the officer involved in the stop, but said that the language of the code she was cited under could broadly apply to Google Glass in the future.
