Dollond & Aitchison contact lens dispensing optician Graham Haynes died on February 8 2007, aged 52.
After qualifiying in 1977, Haynes started his career at Hirst Opticians, Northampton, before joining D&A in 1980.
In 1986 he moved to D&A on Abington Street, Northampton, before transferring to D&A Bedford in 1995 where he worked as a mobile contact lens fitter.
More recently he worked for D&A in Kettering where his expertise and skills were 'particularly valued'. Martin Williams, D&A manager, said: 'Graham will be greatly missed by both colleagues and customers. He was an invaluable member of the team and we are all saddened that he is no longer with us.'
Our heartfelt condolences go to his family.' Haynes leaves behind his wife Julia, son Elliott, 16 and daughter Melanie, 20.
