The Sherriff of Nottingham, Councillor Shuguftah Quddoos, joined guests for the grand opening of Newmedica’s Nottingham clinic at the Riverside Business Park this month.
Councillor Quddoos joined Newmedica managing director Rebecca Lythe to highlight the importance of eye health and officially welcome the clinic’s team of sight specialists.
Newmedica Nottingham initially opened in July and its team of ophthalmologists has already treated more than 100 patients with eye conditions, including cataracts and glaucoma.
‘I am delighted to be able to officially open this new healthcare provider in the city,’ said Councillor Quddoos. ‘It’s fantastic that they’ve already been able to help so many people and I wish them every success for their future.’
Newmedica Nottingham will work in partnership with the NHS to help drive down waiting times with plans to train new NHS surgeons to provide high quality care.
YAG laser and SLT laser are among the treatments offered to patients at the state-of-the-art facilities.
