Gwynns wins Kodak Golf Day

A change of venue and format greeted the 72 golfers at this year's annual Kodak Golf Day, which saw them compete on the Wentwood Hills at the Celtic Manor Resort, home to the Ryder Cup tournament 2010.

Another 20 guests spent the day on quad bikes, argo cats and 4x4s. The winning team comprised Charles Hunt of Signet Armorlite, Russell Evan- Jones from The Optic Shop, Asif Mohammed from Greens Opticians and Andrew Muncie from Specsavers in St Albans.
After six hours, Phil Rees, Nigel Jones and Justin Robinson from Gwynns Opticians took the top prize. Best Player was won by Kamlesh Gohil of Specsavers in Ealing, and the coveted title of Most Challenged Player was awarded to Tudor Morrice Evans from T Morrice Evans Opticians.
David Edwards, one of the world's top trick shot entertainers wowed the guests with his pre-dinner performance.
This year's chosen charity was Guide Dogs for the Blind with money raised through auctions and donations going toward the training of a puppy.
