Haag-Streit UK has launched a compact notebook-based Heidelberg Retina Tomograph 3 (HRT3) for three-dimensional topographical imaging of the optic disc structure.
It includes the glaucoma probability score (GPS), which provides a user-independent, statistical probability of glaucoma based on shape factors of the optic nerve including cup, rim and retinal nerve fibre layer, said the company.
Sophisticated artificial intelligence and ethnic-specific databases also improve diagnostic capability and the new software makes the tomography user friendly while maintaining high image quality, the company added.
