Haag-Streit UK managing director Dean Johnson (left) joined graduates at the University of Kent, Canterbury (UKC) to present student Martin Henderson with a sponsored prize for Best Biomedical Engineering Project.

Henderson, who attended the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, researched the potential for modernising tonometry techniques to aid in the diagnosis of glaucoma.

He said: ‘I am absolutely delighted to have won the award. It was exciting to work on a Haag-Streit UK-funded project, and for my research to potentially help bring a new product to market.’ Henderson will be staying on at UKC to work towards a PhD in biomedical engineering.
