Haag-Streit engineering prizes awarded

Student Emma Barden picked up the Haag-Streit UK-sponsored prize for best Biomedical Engineering Project at the University of Kent, Canterbury.

She was recognised for her research into an imaging system for checking the quality of Goldmann tonometer prisms. Other HS-UK sponsored winners included Anthony Chee, who won the outstanding project award for his research into 3D stereo glasses, and Anu Varkey for her project on the development of a digital display for the Perkins Mk3 tonometer.

Barden is pictured receiving her prize from Dean Johnson, MD of Haag-Streit UK. 'They really are a talented group of young engineers destined to have a bright and rewarding future awaiting them in industry,' he said.
