Haag-Streit UK has joined Birmingham Optical, Heidelberg Engineering, Topcon and Carl Zeiss in offering CET accredited interactive equipment education at Optrafair and delegates are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
Workshops and discussions offering three interactive CET points through 90 minute sessions will run across the Optrafair weekend (April 18-20) and can now be booked at www.optrafair.co.uk. The website also features a full seminar programme which spans the iconic three day show.
A range of OCT topics, glaucoma management and diagnosis, the macula, cornea, keratoconus and autofluoresence will be available in a workshop format supported by Haag Streit, Birmingham Optical, Topcon and Carl Zeiss.
Heidelberg Engineering has teamed up with Optician to offer a totally new learning format based around the interpretation of OCT investigations. These sessions are open to delegates as peer discussions, using cases provided, and there is the opportunity for delegates to earn peer to peer points by submitting their own cases. OCT Cases can be submitted to willima.harvey@rbi.co.uk.
Optician's peer discussion theme this year will be safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. The discussions, lead by Optician’s clinical editor, Bill Harvey, will also be worth three interactive points. A further discussion is being conducted by the GOC on educational standards and this will provide three interactive CET points.
