Haag-Streit reveals Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2024 winners

Optical equipment company Haag-Streit UK named Utpal Sarkar from Disha Eye Hospitals, India, as the winner of its Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2024.

Sarkar won the imaging category with an image captured on the BX 900 slit lamp, displaying an iris cyst in vitreous cavity.

Marc Müller, of Saarland University Eye Clinic in Germany, took runner-up with an image of conjunctival intraepithelial neoplasia with secondary vascularized pannus while Seraina Tanno, from Lucerne Cantonal Hospital in Switzerland, placed third with an image of an aniridia lens.

Now in its sixth year, the competition attracted hundreds of submissions from around the globe, with entries from the US, UK, China, South Korea, Brazil and Australia.
