Optical manufacturer Haag-Streit UK announced the launch of the Slit Lamp Imaging Competition for 2023.
In its fourth consecutive year, the competition has taken 168 images by participants from 20 different countries overall, with images judged on image quality, technical execution, and disease interest.
Last year’s winner, Utpal Sarkar from Disha Eye Hospitals Barrackpore, India, won first place with an image from a Haag-Streit BX 900 slit lamp imaging system of a case of Spherophakia.
The winner will receive a ‘Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2023' trophy, be featured in an ophthalmic journal and receive a Nikon Z 6 II camera with 2 lenses, while second prize will get an Apple Watch Ultra, and third prize will win an Ona Brixton leather camera bag.
