Haine & Smith Opticians has been raising money for charity by cycling a 200 mile circuit over the course of two weekends.
On the weekend of June 20-21, the staff who made up the team of cyclists finished their challenge to cycle to all 20 Haine & Smith practices in Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire in order to raise funds for Julia’s House, which provides a sanctuary for terminally ill children.
The idea for this fundraising event came from Haine & Smith’s head office receptionist Eileen Devenish, who decided with her husband as a New Year’s Resolution to undertake this challenge to exercise and become fitter.
