Hakim received an investment of £140,000 for iTeDDy on the BBC series Dragon's Den and he joined presenters Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones at the launch on June 21. Retailing at £59.99, iTeDDy is an interactive teddy bear incorporating a removable personal media player designed to entertain 3- to 11-year-olds.
Hakim, who graduated from UMIST in 2001, said: 'I am delighted that the iTeDDy product has come to fruition and I eagerly await seeing the toy in Argos catalogues.'
