The Health Clinic opened the second of its Ôone-stop shopsÕ in BirminghamÕs city centre today (June 22).
The new five-storey practice includes optometry, dentistry, GP services and on-site Lasik treatment. The site, refurbished at a cost of £1.5m, will soon introduce wider services such as a Ôtravel clinicÕ Ð for inoculations Ð and a hip fracture clinic.
Parent company the Eye Clinic opened the first branch of its type in Reading six weeks ago (News Extra, May 4), and Eye Clinic clinical director Alan Dalton said patients had already returned for second and third visits after an initial free appointment.
There are 13 Eye Clinic practices in the UK, and the Health Clinic concept will open at a rate of six outlets a year.
