New resources relating to healthy use of contact lenses are available online following the seventh annual Contact Lens Health Week, organised by the US-based Centers for Disease Control and Preven-tion, that ran from August 17 to 21.
The week’s website (www.cdc.gov/contactlenses/contact-lens-health-week.html) features promotional material for patient education.
Additionally, an article by Nicole Carnt, senior optometry lecturer at the University of New South Wales, that provides information on improving contact lens habits can be accessed at www.theconversation.com/how-to-keep-your-contact-lenses-clean-and-what-can-go-wrong-if-you-dont-141117.
Carnt has launched a dedicated Facebook page at www.facebook.com/contactlenshealth that promotes evidence based research in lay messaging to the public.
