A GOC fitness to practise hearing for a registered dispensing optician who provided misleading information to his assessor relating to 'patient episodes', will take place on July 25 in London to review an interim conditional registration order made earlier this year.

A GOC fitness to practise hearing for a registered dispensing optician who provided misleading information to his assessor relating to 'patient episodes', will take place on July 25 in London to review an interim conditional registration order made earlier this year.

Paul Nicholas Skillicorn, who was studying at Bradford University at the time of the incident, has since successfully completed his 'competencies' course.

Skillicorn escaped the interim order at the first hearing on March 3 2008 but the panel imposed conditions to his right to practise for the next 18 months pending the outcome of a full hearing. At the March hearing, Skillicorn told the panel that he was confused by the guidelines relating to the information he had to provide.
