Interim order continues

An interim order for conditional registration of a registered DO and student optometrist who provided misleading information to his assessor in relation to 'patient episodes' will remain in place for a further six months, a GOC fitness to practise panel has ruled.

An interim order for conditional registration of a registered DO and student optometrist who provided misleading information to his assessor in relation to 'patient episodes' will remain in place for a further six months, a GOC fitness to practise panel has ruled.

At a hearing in London last Friday the panel reviewed the interim order imposed on Nicholas Paul Skillicorn on March 3 2008 who was studying at Bradford University at the time of the incident.

The panel was told that since the last hearing there has been 'no material change' in the relevant circumstances. A substantive hearing has been fixed for January 20-21 2009.
