Hearing date

A GOC fitness to practise hearing for Sasha Louise Macken will take place on May 22 at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London.

The Council accuses Macken of deficient professional performance and alleges that when examining a patient she failed to perform a slit-lamp examination, measure intraocular pressures, undertake ocular investigations to understand the cause of symptoms or complete an adequate record.

Macken is also accused of inaccurately interpreting the patient's medical notes with regard to the date of the onset of symptoms during her representation to the Council on March 7 2006 and wrongly referring to the patient's previous records indicating minor corneal changes.
