Software update adds new clinical features for an all-in-one anterior solution

A software update to Heidelberg Engineering’s Anterion device adds new clinical features to provide an all-in-one anterior segment solution for eye care professionals (ECPs).

Epithelial thickness measurements, new display for the assessment of corneal ectasia and automatic anterior chamber measurements have been included in the update.

Steven Thomson, clinical director for anterior segment at Heidelberg Engineering, said: ‘We are excited to present these new clinical tools to the ophthalmic community. With this update, Anterion can support ECPs in multiple clinical disciplines and build on its strength – superb image quality that contributes to advanced intraocular lens power prediction methods and corneal diagnostics.’
