
Heidelberg Engineering has started supplying Spectralis device owners in the UK with free protective breath shields to minimise the risk of spreading pathogens.
The company shared that the shields are part of its commitment to supporting practitioners who are providing emergency and urgent eye care services during the coronavirus pandemic.
Tosh Vadhia, general manager at Heidelberg Engineering, said: ‘We hope the breath shields, combined with other personal protective equipment, will help eye care professionals to continue to provide essential ophthalmic imaging services to patients as safely as possible during this challenging time.’
