Domiciliary eye care provider The Outside Clinic launched a nationwide TV advertising campaign this week.

The TV campaign, believed to be the first for a UK domiciliary provider, aims to spread the message that eye care services are available to people in their own homes. The commercial will be aired on a number of satellite channels in November. Lynda Oliver head of HR, marketing and media at the firm, said: 'There needs to be more awareness that people are entitled to a free eye test if they can't get out of their own homes.
We have been doing this for 19 years and every day I speak to someone who is unaware that these services are available.' The move to TV is a natural progression from the radio and print advertising the firm had done to date, she added.

The Outside Clinic currently has 40 employed optometrists providing nationwide coverage.
