Glasses Direct has launched a new service allowing customers to try up to four pairs of spectacles in a 10-day home trial.
Jamie Murray Wells, founder of Glasses Direct, commented: 'For some products, you need to overcome barriers before you can easily sell them online. We're overcoming a potential barrier for online shoppers who want to try on eyewear before buying. It's a huge step for the optical industry and we see this as part of the second wave of ecommerce.'
The new service costs £5 and customers can select up to four frames to be delivered. If they choose to buy one or more pairs from their trial pack, the cost of the trial will be reimbursed against the final order.
