This year's Hospital Optometrists Annual Conference will feature a series of senior optometrists and ophthalmologists speaking on the latest topics to affect patients and professionals.
Organised by the AOP, the three-day event will take place at Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Warwickshire from October 28-30. There will be 16 workshop sessions in a variety of subjects, from 'Higher qualifications' to 'Medico-legal aspects', as well as nine lectures, including:
'Training a 21st Century ophthalmic workforce' by Richard Smith, consultant ophthalmologist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
'Imaging the fundus - past, present and future' by Gary Misson, consultant ophthalmologist, Warwick Hospital.
'A new drug treatment for myopia: Urban myth or clinical cure' by Charles Cottrill, senior optometrist, Oxford Eye Hospital.
The conference will also host a trade exhibition and poster presentations, and delegates will be able to enjoy a conference dinner and dance.
