Howes holds an Ortho K open evening

Howes Opticians in Royston,  Hertfordshire held an open evening in conjunction with No 7 Contact Lenses so that patients could learn about the benefits of Ortho K lenses.
Visitors had the opportunity to quiz people who are already using the lenses, which are said to remove the need for spectacles or contact lenses during the day for most patients.

'By wearing tailor-made Ortho K lenses at night we can produce a minuscule change in the shape of the cornea and this gives the patient perfect vision for the following day,' said No 7 professional services manager Katie Yeo.

The company added that Ortho K was particularly suitable for patients with a prescription of up to -4.50 dioptres and came at a similar price to standard contact lenses.
