Results of a research project intended to improve the performance of cricketers while fielding was launched to the national press at Lords Cricket Ground on June 25.
Conducted jointly by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Adidas, the study revealed that with the right kind of tint, cricketers' ability to spot the ball could be improved by up to 28 per cent.

He reported that the work had enabled Adidas to advise the ECB about which lenses would suit players best in different conditions.
