Hoya campaign highlights Miyosmart myopia research

Hoya Vision Care has launched a global campaign to highlight the clinical studies that support the use of its Miyosmart ophthalmic lenses in everyday practice.

In the campaign, the lens company highlighted its commitment to evidence-based myopia management by empowering eye care professionals (ECPs) in their clinical practice.

It would educate ECPs on the importance of evidence in childhood myopia by highlighting Miyosmart studies that evidenced its effectiveness.

Hoya was currently conducting a three-year observational study on the use of Miyosmart in the UK, which reached its one year milestone earlier in 2023.

It said results of the study demonstrated similar effectiveness of Miyosmart spectacle lenses in Caucasian versus Asian children, particularly in children aged eight to 13 years.
