The International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) has revealed Ophtecs Corporation as its new bronze sponsor.
IACLE said it would work closely with the Japanese contact lens care solution company in developing its contact lens education.
Professor Philip Morgan, IACLE president, said: ‘It’s fantastic news for IACLE and our members that we welcome Ophtecs as a new sponsor. Sponsors are an integral part of IACLE activity, and the executive board regularly speak with our sponsor colleagues to update them on our work.’
Ophtecs was founded in 1981 and included an intention to ‘contribute to the global ophthalmic field’ as part of its corporate mission statement. Its CEO and president, Joe Yoneda, said: ‘We are very excited to be a part of IACLE’s activities and we look forward to working closely with the Association.’
