iDay highlights Covid safety

Attendees to iDay will require a vaccination pass and proof of a negative lateral flow test

Independents Day organiser Proven Track Record (PTR) has announced that attendees to the one-day conference in Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum will be required to present both proof of a second vaccination and a negative lateral-flow test on the weekend of the event.

This decision has been made as part of the event’s comfort and safety protocol, which also included a limit on attendees, the encouragement of mask-wearing and the decision to hold the event in a space larger than is needed to provide room for social-distancing.

PTR added that anyone who tested positive for Covid-19 and thus unable to attend would be entitled to a full refund.

‘It is essential that all delegates feel as confident attending Independents Day as they do going into work every day,’ said PTR’s Nick Atkins. He added that existing tickets for the event, which was rescheduled for October 24, had been transferred to the new date. The programme, including its focus on commercialising myopia management, has been retained.
