IGA launches online campaign for National Eye Health Week

International Glaucoma Association runs Live Well with Glaucoma campaign

For National Eye Week (September 23-29) the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) will run a social media campaign titled Live Well with Glaucoma.

The campaign will involve five glaucoma patients called glaucomasters sharing stories about enjoying active lives despite having impaired vision through posts and videos on the IGA’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Chief executive for the IGA Karen Osborn said: ‘We are working with some fantastic individuals who have put themselves forward to share their experiences of living well with glaucoma, to help raise awareness of the condition. We know from our glaucoma helpline that people feel empowered when they tell their stories and our wider supporters love to hear from others with the condition. We are excited to be providing a platform for people living with glaucoma to voice their experiences and make connections.’
